NAME: CRAIG GILES GRADE: 4th DEGREE BLACK-BELT CLUB: LINCOLN NORTH STARTED TRAINING: September 1993 ACHIEVEMENTS: QUALIFIED INSTRUCTOR NATIONAL TAGB UMPIRE NATIONAL T.I. REFEREE Craig began training at the Lincoln club when he was 9 years old with a friend from school. Beginning at such a young age Craig found Tae Kwon-Do helped shape his character, deal with childhood asthma and he can model so much on the five tenets of Tae Kwon-Do. He found the discipline he learnt from training helped when he was young and most importantly the fact that he had experience in self-defence. Craig has met some fantastic friends over the years and some life lasting relationships. His favourite parts of training include Fitness, Sparring Drills, Free Sparring and Stamina. Craig helps to teach at all the TKD Clubs classes and plans to open his own clubs in the future. He enjoys seeing the improvement and commitments when teaching the students in class. |

NAME: LEIGH BRIDGE GRADE: 3rd DEGREE BLACK-BELT CLUB: GRANTHAM STARTED TRAINING: October 2001 ACHIEVEMENTS: QUALIFIED INSTRUCTOR NATIONAL TAGB UMPIRE NATIONAL T.I. REFEREE Leigh originally started training to learn self-defence but soon realised that Tae Kwon-Do was also a fantastic sport, which helps develop physical and social skills, valuable to anyone. He enjoys Free Sparring and Stamina in class and gains inspiration from his Instructor and his training partners. He feels that whether you train for 3 months or 10 years the lessons learned in class will stay with you for life. He values the friends made in class and likes the mixture of training at the different TKD clubs. Leigh enjoys teaching and passing on his knowledge to other students. He plans to open his own clubs and dedicate his life to teaching in the future. |

NAME: EDWARD ATKINSON GRADE: 1st DEGREE BLACK-BELT CLUB: SLEAFORD STARTED TRAINING: March 2004 ACHIEVEMENTS: Lincs Champs 2010 Silver Individual and Team sparring Gold Sparring Midlands Championships 2011 JUNIOR ASSISTANT TAGB INSTRUCTOR FIRST AID QUALIFIED 2011 Edward started training at Sleaford primarily to build confidence and to be able to defend himself. He gains inspiration from watching the senior black-belt men train and wanting to be as good as them! His opinion of Tae Kwon-Do after years of training is that it is an effective martial art and a good way to keep fit. He enjoys all aspects of training but mostly benefits from the Free Sparring and Fitness classes and has benefited from training at several TKD Clubs with different instructors with different teaching styles, which are both effective. Edward enjoys teaching, especially the junior members. He plans to carry on training in the future and stay as fit as he can. |
